Search continues for Sexton Mountain shooting suspect
Washington County Sheriff's deputies responded to a house in the 8600 block of Southwest Muledeer Drive around 1:51 p.m. on Friday, May 11, according to a news release.
Police say a 56-year-old man was suffering from an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound. A police spokesman told The Times that the man was shot in the stomach but the bullet exited his body without striking any vital organs.
Three police dogs and multiple officers combed the area, but the woman who allegedly shot the man was not located.
"Area schools were placed in lockout for a short period of time," a news release reports. "The suspect is described as an Asian female, approximately 20-years-old, with long dark hair."
A police spokesman declined to specify the purpose of the young woman's visit to the man's home.
"Let's just say it was their first-time meeting," commented Det. Robert Rookhuyzen.
