Speed a factor in fatal crash in Beaverton
One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Beaverton, police say.
Beaverton Police responded to reports of a crash on Southwest Murray Boulevard at Hart Road around 2:25 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, according to a news release.
Officers found a 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that had crashed into trees on the northbound shoulder of Murray Boulevard. The road was closed for approximately four hours while the Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team investigated.
The crash team concluded that the car left the roadway on the east side of Hart Road.
"One factor in this crash was speeding," police say.
The Beaverton Police Department says it has been unable to identify the driver so far.
