Brothers from Bethany face charges involving minors
Two brothers who own and operate the Best in Class Education Center in Bethany have been arrested and charged with illegal activities involving a teenage girl.
The investigation began Aug. 13 when the Washington County Sheriff's Office's Violent Crimes Unit hard a complaint. Following an investigation, detectives arrested Ryan Hsu, 31, of Bethany, for sexual abuse in the second degree. He was arrested Aug. 16. He posted $1,000 bail and was released from the jail.
He was arrested again on Aug. 30 for violating the terms of his release agreement. It was learned that he attended a community event where minors were present. He posted $2,500 bail and was released again from jail.
On Aug. 18, deputies arrested Alan H. Hsu, 29, of Bethany, for furnishing alcohol to a minor. He was released on his own recognizance.
The Hsu brothers own and operate the Best in Class Education Center in Bethany. Through their work, they have had extensive contact over the years with children and teenagers. It is through their work that they met the victim in this investigation.
On Tuesday, Sept. 4, a Washington County grand jury indicted Ryan Hsu on seven counts of sexual abuse in the second degree.
