Neither injury in Thursday's shooting is considered life-threatening; a suspect has been taken into custody.

One man was shot Thursday in Beaverton, another man received "shrapnel" injuries nearby, and a third man is in custody.

The incident began around 3:17 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, on the 17200 block of Northwest Corridor Court. That's just off Cornell Road, south of Highway 26.

Beaverton Police, responding to a disturbance, received information that gunshots had been fired. When they arrived, they located one man who'd been shot but with a non-life-threatening wound.

The male suspect was located at the scene and was taken into custody without incident.

Police also learned that a second victim had been struck by shrapnel. That person was at a nearby business and also was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Neither victim was taken to a hospital. The names of the suspect and victims has not been released.

Police are continuing to investigate. They say the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and they have no reason to believe there is any further danger to the public.

People with information about the incident should contact the Beaverton Police Department at 503-629-0111.
