Police allege that Timothy Vandehey targeted storage units, apartment garages and construction sites

Timothy Vandehey.The Beaverton Police Department has arrested a man for allegedly committing "20 or more" burglaries.

Timothy James Vandehey, 40, is facing charges of first-and second-degree burglary, felon in possession of a firearm and first-degree aggravated theft, according to a news release.

WSCO PHOTO - Timothy VandeheyDetectives say Vandehey targeted storage units, apartment garages and new construction sites located primarily within Washington County. Police recieved four search warrants during the investigation and recovered three van loads of allegedly stolen property on Jan. 14.

"Approximately $15,000 worth of new construction materials has already been returned to construction companies," police wrote.

Vandehey remains in custody at the Washington County Jail at this time.

He was charged with second-degree theft in 2017, unlawful possession and delivery of methamphetamine in 2018, according to court records, among other charges.

Beaverton police ask the public to check their storage units to ensure that they have not been victimized. Anyone with information is asked to call 503-629-0111.
