BEAVERTON

Saturday, March 9

• A Portland man was arrested on a change of drunken driving on Southwest Canyon Road at the on-ramp to Highway 217 southbound.

• A Beaverton man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving with two prior convictions, a felony, after he crashed his dirt bike at Southwest Rigert Road and 158th Place.

• A blue 2001 Dodge R15 truck, plus tools valued at $6,000, were reported stolen from the 12000 block of Southwest Steamboat Drive.

• A mobile phone valued at $1,000 was reported stolen from a display case in a store in the 14000 block of Southwest Barrows Road.

• A purse with $170 in cash was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 10000 block of Southwest Conestoga Drive.

• A mobile phone valued at $1,000 was reported stolen in the 9100 block of Southwest Hall Boulevard.

• A transient man was arrested on a charge of theft in connection with snatching a purse from a passenger on a MAX train at the Beaverton Transit Center.

Sunday, March 10

• A Beaverton man was arrested on charges of reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, and drunken driving with three prior convictions, a felony, at Southwest Allen Boulevard and Main Avenue.

• A backpack with a mobile phone and a laptop computer valued at $2,500 was reported stolen when someone shattered the window of a vehicle in the 14000 block of Southwest Teal Boulevard.

• A Beaverton man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving at Northwest 167th Avenue and Walker Road.

• A Hillsboro woman was arrested on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle in the 11000 block of Southwest Canyon Road.

• A Beaverton woman was arrested on a charge of drunken driving at Southwest Scholls Ferry Road and Conestoga Drive.

Monday, March 11

• A Beaverton man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving at Southwest Conestoga Drive and 125th Avenue.

• Lawn maintenance tools valued at $3,600 were reported stolen from the Fanno Center at 6220 S.W. 112th Ave.

• Goods valued at $5,000 were reported stolen when locks were cut from two storage units in the 14000 block of Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway.

• A silver 2013 Ford Escape was reported stolen in the 12000 block of Southwest 9th Street.

• A Portland man was arrested on a charge of theft in connection with the removal of goods valued at $247 from a store in the 11000 block of Southwest Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway.

• A transient man was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after multiple callers complained about his behavior in the 3000 block of Southwest Cedar Hills Boulevard.

• A Beaverton woman was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor assault in connection with biting her sister in the 14000 block of Southwest Spinnaker Drive.

Tuesday, March 12

• A Portland woman was arrested on a charge of theft in connection with the removal of groceries valued at $600 from a store in the 6100 block of Southwest Murray Boulevard.

• A Beaverton woman was arrested on a charge of drunken driving in the 6000 block of Southwest Hall Boulevard.

• Goods valued at $1,200, including skis and golf clubs, were reported stolen from an open garage in the 9600 block of Southwest New Forest Drive.

• A Portland woman was arrested on a charge of criminal trespass in an apartment complex in the 3200 block of Southwest 170th Avenue.

• Tools and other equipment valued at more than $1,600 were reported stolen from a van in the 6900 block of Southwest Pointer Road.

• Two drill/impact driver sets valued at $560 were reported stolen from a truck in the 1900 block of Southwest Camelot Court.

• A Beaverton man was arrested on charges of felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault in connection with an incident involving his girlfriend in the 4200 block of Southwest Cedar Hills Boulevard.

• Two women, one from Portland and the other from Gresham, were arrested on charges of theft in connection with the removal of clothing valued at $560 from a store in the 11000 block of Southwest Canyon Road. The Portland woman also was arrested on a charge of felony possession of heroin.

• A transient man and woman, and a man from Sandy, were arrested on charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle at Southwest Canyon Road and 114th Avenue. The man and woman also face felony drug charges.

Wednesday, March 13

• A transient woman was arrested on charges of identity theft and criminal trespass in the 4300 block of Southwest Jamieson Road.

• Goods valued at more than $4,000 were reported stolen from a storage unit in the 14000 block of Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway.

• A Hillsboro man was arrested on charges of aggravated identity theft and carrying a concealed weapon in the 11000 block of Southwest Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway.

• A Salem man and a Keizer woman were arrested on charges of theft in connection with the removal of goods valued at $487 from a store in the 4400 block of Southwest 110th Avenue.

• A Portland woman was arrested on charges of theft and felony criminal conspiracy in connection with the removal of goods valued at $1,294 from a store in the 13000 block of Northwest Science Park Drive. The goods were recovered.

• A chainsaw valued at $300 was reported stolen from a store in the 4400 block of Southwest 110th Avenue.

• Two wallets and two mobile phones valued at $600 were reported stolen when someone broke the driver-side window of a vehicle in the 8200 block of Southwest Apple Way.

Thursday, March 14

• A Portland man was arrested on charges of felony possession of oxycodone and cocaine at Southwest Hocken Avenue and Henry Street.

• A transient man was arrested on charges of theft, identity theft and possession of counterfeit currency at a store in the 3800 block of Southwest 117th Avenue.

• A Portland man was arrested on a charge of forgery and a probation violation in the 11000 block of Southwest Canyon Road.

Friday, March 15

• A Tigard man was arrested on a charge of identity theft near Southwest Hocken Avenue and Tualatin Valley Highway.

• A Tigard man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving in the 14000 block of Southwest Murray Scholls Drive.

• A black bag with a bar-code scanner and several items, all belonging to the Beaverton School District, were reported stolen when someone smashed a vehicle window in the 11000 block of Southwest Barnes Road.

• A Portland woman was arrested on charges of drunken driving and reckless driving after a crash at Southwest Murray Boulevard and Tualatin Valley Highway.

• A Beaverton woman was arrested on a charge of distribution of LSD at Southwest 5th Street and Tucker Avenue, within 1,000 feet of a school.

Saturday, March 16

• A Beaverton man was arrested on charges of possession of counterfeit currency and a violation of a no-contact order in the 5000 block of Southwest Murray Boulevard.

• A Beaverton man was arrested on charges of drunken driving and misdemeanor possession of cocaine at Southwest Farmington Road and Murray Boulevard.

• A Portland man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of controlled substances and disorderly conduct at Highway 217 northbound at Southwest Greenburg Road.

Sunday, March 17

• A Beaverton man was arrested on charges of harassment and criminal mischief in connection with pushing his ex-girlfriend and kicking a hole in her bathroom door during an argument in the 4800 block of Southwest Menlo Avenue.

• A Hillsboro woman was arrested on a charge of interfering with public transportation at the Elmonica MAX station.

• Power tools valued at $400 were reported stolen from the 14000 block of Southwest 27th Court.

• Seven game controllers valued at $420 were reported stolen from a store in the 3000 block of Southwest Cedar Hills Boulevard.

• A Woodburn man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving after a minor crash in the 8500 block of Southwest Nimbus Avenue.

• A Portland man was arrested on a charge of drunken driving at Southwest Rossi Terrace and Tallman Lane.

TIGARD

Tuesday, March 12

• A commercial burglary was reported in the 9700 block of Shady Lane where an iPad was reported stolen.

• A fraud was reported in connection to an individual who was hired as a brand assessor assigned to evaluate the Apple Store at Washington Square Mall. He was also told to purchase two Apple gift cards for $2,650 with checks for payment but after he purchased the gift cards, he discovered the entire balance on the cards was soon depleted and the checks had bounced.

• A resident applying for a loan discovered someone had opened a Verizon account in their name.

Someone reported a transient male headed behind a building with two syringes.

• A store security person reported that four men tried to steal from a Washington Square Mall store and when confronted threatened to "pop" the security person.

• An officer cited a motorcyclist for reckless driving after he reportedly drove fast, weaved in and out of traffic and struck a car so hard its airbags deployed.

Wednesday, March 13

• Electrical boxes and power cords valued at approximately $5,000 were taken from the 17100 block of Appledale Road.

• A 2016 Hyundai Elantra parked on the street in the 12800 block of Ash Avenue was stolen overnight.

• A woman reported her purse was stolen from her home and knew of a possible suspect.

• A man was arrested for improper use of an emergency reporting system and disorderly conduct after threatening a 911 operator when he was looking for shelter. He was later charged with burglary after trying to access someone's apartment.

Thursday, March 14

• Police responding at least five calls of a man in a big white truck with no lights on and swerving all over the road at Pacific Highway and Beef Bend Road apparently was unfamiliar with how to drive the new vehicle. He was told to park it and call his boss.

• A large coyote or some type of large animal was reported running down the middle of the road on 98th Avenue headed toward Sattler Street.

• An officer arrested a woman for allegedly shoplifting five pairs of Levis jeans worth more than $300 from Washington Square Mall.

• A resident reported he thinks he dropped his wallet in a parking lot in the 14400 block of Pacific Highway and later found that someone had already tried to use his bank card at Whole Foods.

• A resident reported his vehicle had been stolen earlier in the 10300 block of Lincoln Street.

•A man was arrested for assault, harassment and disorderly conduct and failure to register as a sex offender after coming into a store in the 10700 block of Greenburg Road and trying to pick a fight.

Friday, March 15

• Police responded to an attempt to break into an open bathroom window in the 11800 block of Greenburg Road only to find that a drunken subject was trying to enter the wrong apartment.

• Officers arrested a man for burglary in the 11500 block of 88th Avenue after he entered an apartment unit through a rear window and was later found sleeping on a resident's couch wearing nothing but a shirt and socks.

• Officers arrested a man for driving under the influence of intoxicants after a report he was in a fast food drive through and almost struck the ordering machine. He refused a breathalyzer test, requiring the officer to obtain a warrant to draw his blood.

Saturday, March 16

• A passerby called to report a man hitting an older man who was down on the ground. The injured man, who refused treatment, said he didn't know the person who hit him but declined to press charges.

• A motorist reported someone had broken into their vehicle, stealing items from the trunk.

• A man was arrested for menacing (physical), interfering with a police officer and resisting arrest in the 11900 block of Pacific Highway. The incident involved one man chasing the other with what appeared to be a chair with drug use suspected to be a factor.

• Police responded to a report of someone stealing a backpack, containing a woman's passport and a portable phone charger from the food court at Washington Square Mall.

• A woman was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving after an officer stopped to check on her after finding her with her hazard lights on at Walnut Street and Benish Street. He found that her front left tire was partially shredded and the rim bent. Her blood alcohol content was .18, more than twice the legal limit.

• Police arrested a woman for driving under the influence of intoxicants after a caller reported seeing the vehicle driving with significant front end damage at Scholls Ferry Road and 121st Avenue. When the driver was pulled over by Beaverton police, her blood alcohol content was .17 percent, more than twice the legal limit.

Sunday, March 17

• A man was arrested at Fir Street and 72nd Avenue for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and hit and run after his vehicle was seen driving at a high rate of speed before hitting a concrete barrier and taking off. His blood alcohol content was .22 percent, almost three times the legal limit.

• A resident called police to say she believes her car was broken into in the 14900 block of 109th Avenue after leaving her garage door open.

• Someone reportedly smashed the front windshield of a truck parked at a business at Hall Boulevard and Commercial Street.

TUALATIN

From March 12 to 18, Tualatin police responded to 458 calls for service including responding to 15 traffic crashes and making nine total arrests.

Tuesday, March 12

• A man was arrested in the 7600 block of Mohawk Street on an outstanding warrant and for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

• A business was broken into in the 19300 block of Boones Ferry Road with a heater stolen.

Police responded to a report of fraud and helped the victim reship the item back to England.

Wednesday, March 13

• A resident reported the theft of their vehicle from the 22300 block of Boones Ferry Road.

• A man was arrested for resisting arrest and for an outstanding felony warrant in the 8600 block of Tualatin-Sherwood Road.

Someone broke a window in the 8100 block of Nyberg Street.

• An unknown man broke a vehicle window in the 7100 block of Hazel Fern Road and stole a backpack from it.

Thursday, March 14

• Three individuals worked together to deceive a cashier at a business in the 19200 block of Martinazzi Avenue.

• A vehicle was reported stolen from an apartment complex in the 9300 block of Sagert Street.

A robbery was reported in the 17800 block of Lower Boones Ferry road after a backpack was forcibly taken from a victim.

Friday, March 15

• A possum was put down by an officer at 105th Avenue and Susquehanna Drive after determined to be ill and possibly rabid.

• A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant and for possession of a controlled substance (meth).

Saturday, March 16

• A hit and run vehicle accident (property damage) was reported at Leveton Drive and 118th Avenue.

Sunday, March 17

• A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Monday, March 18

• A man was arrested in the 21000 block of Pacific Highway for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

• A vehicle was reported stolen from a parking lot in the 7500 block of Nyberg Street.
