Beaverton police arrest man in food cart burglary
Beaverton police have arrested a 26-year-old man after they say he was caught burglarizing a restaurant in the BG Food Cartel.
Dylan Graham Hogge, of Deer Island, was lodged in the Washington County Jail on charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief.
Officers responded to the food cart hub, 4250 S.W. Rose Biggi Ave., around 12:48 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, according to a news release. Police said an owner called 9-1-1 after his video surveillance system captured images of someone inside the cart.
Law enforcement arrived and saw a man, later identified as Hogge, walking away from the area.
"Officer Coulson and K9 Atlas were able to find Mr. Hogge's discarded gloves and bandana that he wore to conceal his identity," police said.
Officers also searched Hogge and allegedly found stolen money that he was carrying.
Hogge was charged with second-degree theft in Multnomah County in 2015, and has also faced charges for criminal trespass, careless driving and possession of heroin, according to court records.
