UPDATE: Calvin Ramone Davenport is wanted on assault, promoting prostitution charges, police say

VIA BEAVERTON PD - Calvin DavenportBeaverton Police has identified a wanted suspect after a local police officer shot at someone suspected of being involved in sex trafficking.

The chain of events started about 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 11, when Beaverton detectives went undercover to arrest two people near Southwest West Slope Drive and 83rd Avenue. The site is near West Sylvan Middle School.

Police took one person into custody. But a second person got away in a blue Infiniti, which he accelerated toward the officer, who fired. Police found the car abandoned later near Southwest West Slope Drive and Canyon Lane, but a police dog could not find the man.

He was later identified as Calvin Ramone Davenport, 20, whose whereabouts are currently unknown. Police say he was tracked by K9 officers into Southwest Portland between Southwest Schools Ferry and Shattuck roads, but the trail went cold.

Police did not say whether Davenport was hit. No officer was injured.

The officer who fired was placed on administrative leave, which is standard procedure while an investigation is conducted.

Davenport is wanted for first-degree attempted assault, unlawful use of a vehicle as a weapon, felony attempt to elude and promoting prostitution.

Davenport is five-foot, nine inches tall with dark hair and weighs about 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt, police say.

Authorities ask the public to call 9-1-1 if they see Davenport. Those with non-emergency information should call 503-629-0111.
