Dog killed in Beaverton motorhome shooting
Beaverton police are investigating after a shooting in the Highland neighborhood left a dog dead and a motorhome damaged early Friday morning, Sept. 6.
Multiple neighbors reported the sound of gunshots in the 13800 block of Southwest Hargis Road, just north of the Hyland Woods Natural Area, at about 4:52 a.m. Friday, according to police.
Officers arrived on the scene to find a motorhome trailer with several bullet holes in it. A dog that had been inside the trailer at the time of the shooting was fatally injured.
At least one person was also inside the trailer at the time, police believe.
Suspects in the shooting have not yet been identified. Police are continuing to investigate. The Beaverton Police Department does not believe there is a danger to the public associated with the shooting.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact non-emergency dispatch at 503-629-0111 and ask to speak with a Beaverton police officer.
