Man's body found in Cedar Mill Creek
The body of a man was found in a creek in the Cedar Mill area north of Beaverton on Saturday, Nov. 2, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
It's not yet clear what the man's cause of death was or how long it had been since he died when his remains were found in Cedar Mill Creek on Saturday. The body was located near the intersection of Northwest Cornell Road and 119th Avenue.
"It's just too early for us to say" what happened, said Detective Mark Povolny, spokesman for the Sheriff's Office.
He added, "Basically, all we can really say right now is the body of a late middle-aged man was found in this creek by a citizen, and we're working on the investigation to determine what happened."
The state medical examiner was on the scene Saturday evening to recover the body and take it in for an autopsy. Povolny said investigators were also working to recover the deceased man's clothing and any personal effects or other evidence to what happened.
The identity of the victim hasn't been released.
