TrovaTrip, one of the winners of a 2019 Westside Challenge Fund grant from the Oregon Technology Business Center in Beaverton, has been awarded a minimum of $50,000.
The startup was one of six finalists from a field of more than 60 applicants at the 16th Seattle Angel Conference, held Nov. 13 on the Microsoft campus in Redmond, Wash.
TrovaTrip is an e-commerce platform enabling influencers to monetize their following by hosting group trips. Its chief executive is Nick Poggi.
Under the Oregon Technology Business Center, a business incubator, each chosen startup in the Westside Challenge Fund is awarded $25,000 plus office space for one year, coaching and networking opportunities. The 2020 awardees will be announced in December.
TrovaTrip was one of two Oregon Technology Business Center startups competing in Seattle.
Also making it to the final six presenting companies was Barcast, an interactive advertising and consumer insights platform led by Alex Mauritz.
