Police want to know if a 33-year-old man, accused of sex abuse, may have had contact with other children.

COURTESY BEAVERTON POLICE DEPARTMENT - Lee Zon BennettBeaverton police are looking for possible additional victims of a 33-year-old man accused of sex abuse involving children.

Lee Zon Bennett was arrested on Sept. 9, following a prior investigation by Beaverton police detectives who found evidence regarding him allegedly sexually abusing a female child in 2009 when the victim was 4 years old, according to a Beaverton Police Department spokesman.

During the investigation, a second victim was found, police said. That second victim told investigators that she was sexually abused by Bennett in 2011 when she was 10 years old.

During the incidents of abuse, Bennett was temporarily staying at people's houses and/or babysitting the children, police said.

In August, a Washington County Grand Jury heard testimony regarding the cases, indicted Bennett on three counts of first-degree sex abuse and two counts of first-degree sexual penetration.

He remains lodged at Washington County Jail where he's awaiting his next court appearance.

Due to his transient living conditions, Beaverton Police detectives believe there may be additional victims. They are asking anyone whose child had contact with Bennett, and if they have concerns of inappropriate behavior, to contact Det. Jeff Gill at the Beaverton Police Department at 503-526-2660.
