COURTESY WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE - Tracy Lynn Cloud, 46, was arrested by Washington County sheriff's deputies Wednesday, Jan. 22, in connection with the murder of her estranged husband, Philip, on Sept. 23.The estranged wife of murder victim Philip Cloud was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 22, by Washington County sheriff's deputies in a continuing investigation.

Tracy Lynn Cloud, 46, was taken to the Washington County Jail where she was booked on charges of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon. A warrant for her arrest was issued Jan. 8.

Philip Cloud, 62, was shot to death Sept. 23 at a Bethany area home on Northwest Germantown Road. Tracy Cloud told deputies her husband had pulled a handgun on her, but she shot him twice.

Philip Cloud had filed for divorce; a Nov. 20 court date had been set.

Detectives from the sheriff's Violent Crimes Unit had continued to investigate the shooting by executing search warrants and interviewing numerous people. The Sheriff's Office thanked the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force for its assistance.
