A water truck remains on site in case of flare-ups, Portland Fire & Rescue reports.

COURTESY GRAPHIC - Portland Fire and Rescue tweeted at 12:32 p.m. that a fire was being worked on by crews at 11300 NW Germantown Road near Forest Park in Portland's west hills. Portland Fire a& Rescue is reporting that a wildland fire located in the 11300 block of Northwest Germantown Road in Portland's West Hills is under control, and a water truck remains on site in the case of a flare up.

According to Lt. Elizabeth Thompson, a brush fire unit and a single engine responded to a call earlier in the day of a small fire near the intersection of Germantown Road and Skyline Boulevard. At about 12:19 p.m., officials upgraded the fire to a "wildland box" measuring about 150 feet by 150 feet, allowing more resources to be brought in.

Thompson said that by 1:10 p.m., the fire was under control and a redundant water supply was left on scene to handle potential hot spots.

Some traffic congestion should be expected in the area, but it will likely be clear within the next 30 minutes to an hour, Thompson said.
