No information about a suspect in Thursday's homicide has been released. The investigation is ongoing.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting in the 17800 block of Southwest Kinnaman Road at 1:52 p.m. Thursday.

Jeremy Lee Covey was transported to the Providence Urgent Care in Tanasbourne, where he was pronounced dead before deputies arrived, the Sheriff's Office said Friday evening, Feb. 19.

No information about a suspect or motive in the shooting has been released, but the Sheriff's Office says it is being investigated as a homicide. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit were assigned to the case.

Deputy Shannon Wilde, a spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office, declined Friday to say whether a suspect has been identified or detained in the case, but she said investigators do not believe there is a danger to the public at this time.
