The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District wants your input about a possible new bridge crossing Highway 26.
On Thursday, Feb. 24, THPRD announced a community survey on the proposed Westside Trail Bridge project. The district is currently planning a new bicycle and pedestrian bridge to connect the Westside Trail over Highway 26.
"Please share your input on which bridge features you like the most," THPRD urged. "Your input will inspire the look of the future bridge."
The Pamplin Media Group first reported on the proposal back in November.
According to THPRD's website, the bridge would create a link connecting 25 miles of trail for walkers, runners and bicyclists to reach popular destinations, including schools, parks and recreation complexes, shopping, jobs, housing, parks, natural areas, and transit stations.
The district says the project is funded by THPRD's system development charge fund and by a Metro "flexible" fund.
The Westside Trail Bridge survey is available in English and Spanish. The survey is open now through March 22 on the district's website.
