The Beaverton Police Department describes calls for service from July 1-5, 2022.

Friday, July 1

Officers arrested a woman on Southwest Scholls Ferry Road after she entered a stranger's apartment, took a shower and stole a cellphone.

A man was arrested on Southwest Canyon Road for aggravated assault, felony strangulation, menacing, unlawful use of a weapon and violation of a release agreement to have no contact with his alleged victim.

Officers arrested a man at a fast food restaurant on Southwest Cedar Hills Boulevard for weapon offenses and warrants.

Saturday, July 2

Officers conducting a welfare check on Southwest Electric Street arrested a man for felony assault, felony strangulation and sexual assault.

An officer observed two people apparently engaged in sexual activity in the back of a vehicle on Southwest Crescent Street. Upon investigation, police found an underage girl in a state of undress with a 31-year-old man, who fled the scene.

Officers responding to a shoplifting call on Southwest Cedar Hills Boulevard arrested a man for theft, providing false information to an officer, identity theft, warrants and possession of methamphetamine.

Sunday, July 3

A man was arrested while driving a stolen car on Southwest Canyon Road. He was also charged with felon in possession of a weapon, identity theft, and fugitive warrants. His passenger was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and identity theft.

Officers arrested a man near Highway 217 and Southwest Denney Road for hit-and-run and reckless driving.

Monday, July 4

Officers conducted a welfare check of a driver asleep at the wheel near Southwest 96th Avenue and Canyon Road. He was arrested for DUII (alcohol) and a fugitive warrant.

Officers responded to a death of a man with a do-not-resuscitate document in Southwest 27th Court.

Officers investigating a criminal mischief call found a vacant office occupied by a transient woman who had broken in. She was arrested for trespassing, a fugitive warrant and vandalism.

Tuesday, July 5

Officers responded to a burglary call and arrested a man for DUII, harassment, unlawful use of a weapon, assault and burglary.

Officers investigated a case of child neglect on Southwest Gage Lane. A 7-year-old boy was left at home to take care of his 5-year-old sister while his parents were at work.
