Five startup companies will have the chance to win $25,000 and access to services from the Oregon Startup Center, formerly called the Oregon Technology Business Center.

This year's is the eighth annual competition by the startup center. Since 2016, over $900,000 has been invested in 35 startups, which have gone on to raise over $95 million in additional funding.

Ten to 12 semifinalists will have the opportunity to pitch their startups to investors after October, then the final five startup companies will be selected by mid-November.

Winners will get access to mentoring services, introductions to legal, accounting, human resources and marketing topics and other helpful resources and workshops.
