Terpenning Recreation Complex on 158th Avenue and Walker Road in Beaverton.

The classic auto and truck show is just one slice of a big day at the Party in the Park, the park district’s largest community event. The daylong affair will transform the district’s main campus into a carnival of activities with fun for children of all ages.

The car and truck show is free for spectators and is expected to attract more than 8,000 people. Exhibitors pay an entry fee of $15 if registered online or $20 on the day of the charity event. Funds will benefit the Tualatin Hills Park Foundation and its programs.

Entertainment at the event will be provided by two bands, the Fabulous Farelanes playing nostalgia rock ‘n' roll and Sol-Mars, a 1960’s surf band.

Doors open to exhibitors at 7 a.m., and the event gears up at 8. Judging ends at 1:30 p.m. and is followed by a presentation of awards from 3 to 4 p.m.

The cars and trucks are displayed on the grass and are roped off for their owner’s protection.
