The Valley Catholic High School Drama Department will showcase its fall production beginning Thursday through Saturday and continuing from Nov. 4-6. Showtimes are set for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays, and at 2 p.m. for the Sunday matinee.

“’The Secret Case of Sherlock Holmes’ brings together some of the most well-known characters — both historical and literary — in an action-packed comic farce that is sure to delight audiences both young and old,” said director Ginnie Sutfin.

In the production, Holmes and Watson — while avoiding their angry landlord — hide in a time machine and are accidentally transported to a 21st-century psychiatric hospital. There, they meet a series of patients who, with grandiose delusions, believe they’re famous, among them Marilyn Monroe, George Washington, Tarzan, Emily Dickinson, Count Dracula, Lizzie Borden and Queen Victoria.

“The Valley Catholic drama department is excited to see many new faces in our show this year. We have eight actors making their Valley Catholic stage debut, along with many other drama department veterans,” said Sutfin.

Playing the top two roles are: Hannah Johnson and Karthik Tiruvallur as Sherlock Holmes, and Ashley Balding and AnnaMaria Siting as Dr. Jane Watson.

Valley Catholic High School is located at 4275 S.W. 148th Ave. in Beaverton. The school is on the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon campus on Murray Boulevard between Tualatin Valley Highway and Farmington Road.

Tickets can be purchased at valleycatholic.org/sherlockholmes. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for students and seniors, and $4 for children age 5 and under.
