Stay on Your Fitness Track This Summer
It's summer! Time for BBQs, camping, vacations, potato salad and ice cream. If you aren't careful you will pack those calories as flab on your belly, just when it's time for swimsuits and shorts. What to do? These tips below will help you avoid added inches this summer.
Bring something healthy to that potluck or get-together. A nice salad or crudités with a low-cal dip will guarantee you have something nutritious to eat. Who doesn't appreciate a contributor at a party?
Eat and exercise before you go. Keep yourself in check by eating a small healthy meal before you leave home and you won't be hungry and be tempted to eat too many high calorie foods when you get to the party. Exercise is a mental motivator & allows for those few extra calories. When you get home, have a healthy snack and feel proud that you resisted temptation.
Don't let a change in routine change your exercise routine. You can move and be active anywhere. Swim in the motel pool, take a hike or ride a bike and this time of year there is nothing like a brisk walk. Fact: 1 Brisk mile = 100 – 150 calories = 15 minutes
