While the holiday season may begin around Thanksgiving

and end on New Year's Eve, Black Friday really kicks off the

Holiday shopping season. Black Friday has become a crucial day for stores and the economy in general, as 30% of all annual retail sales occur between Black Friday and Christmas.

Below are some fun Black Friday facts to think about while

you are prepping for your Black Friday shopping adventure:

• Black Friday shopping is observed in 15 different

countries around the world.

• Black Friday is the world's second biggest shopping day,

trailing only China's Singles day.

• Millennials have become the biggest demographic for

Black Friday shopping, with 53% saying they are planning

on taking part in the shopping Holiday.

• Shoppers spend an average of $472 on Black Friday

shopping.

• A total of $14.5 Billion is spent on all shopping over

Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

• The Monday after Thanksgiving, known as Cyber

Monday, costs employers an estimated $450 million in lost

production due to online deal hunting.

• Black Friday is also the busiest day of the year for

another industry - plumbers. Plumbing services often hit

their busiest day the day after Thanksgiving often due to more guests in house, which leads to clogged pipes.

Enjoy the Holiday Season and all the shopping madness that comes with it. Remember to set a budget before leaving and stick to it while shopping.

Happy Holidays from Cornerstone Wealth Management.
