How many steps are you getting every day? We recommend a minimum of 10,000 for optimum health and when you set your mind it is easy and actually becomes addictive.If you are already a walker, then aim for 15,000 every day. Get outside and walk the dog, Fido probably doesn't get enough exercise either & once you start walking the pup won't let you off the hook. We all struggle with temptation to skip it, but once you get out

there you won't regret it.

So, what are the health benefits of walking? It counteracts the effects of weight-gaining genes;, it helps tame the sweet tooth and reduces the risk of developing

breast cancer per the ACS. It boosts immune system function, burns calories and strengthens the heart. It lowers blood sugar, eases joint pain, boosts Energy and clears and stimulates your thinking. All of these can help extend your life.

We recommend walking or running in addition to your

regular trips to the gym. Your body needs different levels

of cardiovascular exercise as well as resistance training. Is

it a commitment? YES. As we've learned this past year

obesity, heart disease & high blood pressure are the primary reasons for chronic illness, all these illnesses can be avoided by maintaining a healthy weight and counting those calories.

We recommend a fitness tracker that will count your steps, intensity of exercise and will allow you to track

your food intake. Use these tools and a little gumption to get moving. You will slowly see a return to better health.
