Dental Care of Canby's Office COVID-19 Protocols
As a profession this isn't our first pandemic. Our industry made many changes since the 1980's HIV pandemicto reduce diseases, such as: HIV, hepatitis B and C. That made us more prepared for the COVID-19 pandemic by applying the lessons learned 30 years ago. We are following these protocols to reduce the risk of transmission of the more contagious Delta variant in our community.
Daily temperature screenings of staff who are given permission to call in if they are having any symptoms.
95% of Oregon dentists are fully vaccinated, but I still wear a N95 mask. Staff wear a surgical class 3 mask throughout the day.
Screening each patient for a fever of 100.4 or higher or other symptoms and keep patients home whenever these occur. Many patients will call the office before their appointment to discuss any symptoms (thank you!)
The reception area has spaced seating and patients wear masks. Front staff wear masks and have plexiglass shields to protect our business section. The removal of all magazines and books, which is one of the best ways to prevent passing diseases between patients.
Treatment rooms have HEPA filters, changed more often than required, UVC lights, patients get a mouth rinse, every room is sprayed with a high powered disinfectant called Cavicide and high suction in the patient's mouth reduces aerosols being released are a few of our protocols.
Let us know if you have any questions concerning our processes or next visit, please call (503) 266-2705.
