A Canby ensemble will perform Dec. 17.

A local Canby ensemble comprised of about a dozen high school and college-aged students will present their 4th annual Christmas concert, "Christmas This Year," on Sunday, Dec. 17, at 4 p.m. at the Mt. Hood Pavilion at Canby Grove Conference Center in Canby.

The yearly holiday program features an offering of many great Christmas classics along with some of the newer seasonal favorites.

The program offers a strong musical element that combines warmth, humor and nostalgia while focusing on the true meaning of the season.

Director Pamela Honer said, "This program is designed with the goal of helping to bring you in to the holiday season. We focus on what is good and uplifting about this time of year, and we like to think we'll help you find your Christmas spirit. You will smile, you will laugh, you may shed a tear, but we are certain you'll go home with a song in your heart."

Christmas music will be in full glory Sunday at Canby Grove Conference Center in Canby.

The full ensemble will perform many numbers together but singers will also display their individual musical styles and talents in various solos, and special groups. This years' singers include: Jeanette Banke, Matthew Banke, Destiny Bennett, Abbi Beckham, Adam Doty, Charity Doty, Jason Doty, Merry Doty, Carman Honer, Justan Honer, Hannah Hunt, Lydia Hunt, Jared Ojua, Jon Sheldon, and Frances Speer.
