The Canby Independence Day Celebration is seeking musicians and bands to play this July 4

Canby's Independence Day Celebration committee is looking for musical acts to play during the July 4 event this year.

The Canby Independence Day Celebration is looking for musicians and/or bands that appeal to a small town, family oriented audience for the 2018 Independence Day Celebration.

The festivities are held throughout the day on Wednesday, July 4, in downtown Canby.

The City of Canby's Main Street program assumed responsibility for the Canby Independence Day Celebration, formerly General Canby Day, in October 2015. This beloved family-friendly event features two stages for live music, children's activities, parade, beer garden, street fair, car show and much, much more.

The Beer Garden stage will be located on NW Second Avenue, between N. Grant and N. Holly streets.

The Gazebo stage will be located in Wait Park, at 350 N. Grant St. The City of Canby will be choosing three musicians and/or bands to perform throughout the day. Bands that excel at upbeat, toe tapping tunes that appeal to all ages are the best fit for this daytime event.
