Always been curious about HAM radio? A HAM radio licensing class is set for Saturday in Molalla

A HAM radio tech licensing class will be held Friday and Saturday, March 2-3 for anyone interested. This is an entry level class and will permit attendees to communicate over radio on the HAM bands at any time and in the event of an emergency.

A HAM radio tech licencing class is set for Saturday, March 3, in Molalla.

The class covers all question material and the correct answers. At the end of the class the test will be administered. There is better than a 90 percent likelihood you will pass the test and be issued your license. No age limitations and the license is good for 10 years.

The class will be held at the LDS Church, 974 W. Main St. in Molalla and runs 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. The exam is from 2 to 4:30 on Saturday. Exam fee is $15.

Bring a photo ID and know your Social Security number. Also, bring a lunch for Saturday.
