A Saturday at the market
Produce, crafts, music and more will be staples of this year's Canby Farmers Market.
This year's market, which will run Saturdays through Aug. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Canby (on NW First Avenue between Holly and Ivy streets), will once again offer an interesting mix of vendor booths for downtown visitors to enjoy on Saturdays.
Canby Farmers Market manager Molly Reardon said that this year's market should have between 20 and 25 booths throughout the season.
This year's market will continue to have live music, as well as community booths and a children's program called "The Sprouts Program."
The farmers market will have produce, locally roasted coffee, plants, local arts and crafts, a jewelry maker, food booths and more. The goal, said Reardon, is to create a fun and relaxing place where Canby residents (and visitors, of course) can spend a bit of their Saturday.
Reardon said that there isn't really "anything crazy new" coming to this year's market, but that the popularity of Canby's farmers market is increasing.
