State Fair ticket sales open
The Oregon State Fair is all about summer fun, and to kick off the season, the fair recently announced the online availability of pre-sale admission tickets and carnival ride wristbands – at a discount.
For the advance sales, adult admission tickets are available for $6 (for those 12 and older) – a decrease in price from the regular price of $8, and the children's admission passes are $1 lower than the regular price of $6.
In addition, carnival ride wristbands are available for $37.50, a significant savings from the regular $50 price.
Each wristband is good for any one day at the fair (until 10 p.m.) of unlimited rides. The wristbands also include three games and a medium drink.

The special advance price offer concludes at midnight (PT) Thursday, Aug. 23.
About the Oregon State Fair
The Oregon State Fair, established in 1861, first began in Oregon City, Oregon during the time of the U.S. Civil War.
Since 1862, the fair has called the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem home, hosting thousands of visitors from near and far with premier concerts, art, culture, rides, agricultural exhibits and livestock.
