All the players in the project will come together Thursday at 10 a.m. for a ribbon-cutting event

On Thursday, Aug. 9, the public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting and open house for the Dahlia Apartments in the Canby Civic Block. The ribbon cutting and open house will begin at 10 a.m. at 111 NW Second Ave. in Canby.

The City of Canby, Hanlon Development Canby Dahlia LLC, JOHN RCG, and SERA Architects have announced the completion of the Dahlia Apartments in the Canby Civic Block. The Dahlia is a mixed-use development in the heart of downtown Canby. It features 69 market rate studio and one bedroom apartments, as well as four ground-floor retail spaces along NW Second Avenue and N. Ivy Street.

While Canby's walkable downtown is already served by a brand-new library, gourmet grocer, and independent cinema, the Canby Civic Block will offer something different: modern apartments, new shops with floor-to-ceiling windows, and fresh uses for some of the city's most historic buildings.

The development also includes the historic Holly Street City Hall and the old police station.
