Canby Area Transit (CAT) is updating its Title VI program and plan. The Transit Advisory Committee for CAT will host a public meeting regarding the updated plan which also includes a Limited English Proficiency (LEP) plan.

This meeting will be on Thursday, Aug. 23, at 6 p.m. at the Canby City Council chambers at the Canby Public Library on the first floor.

The Canby Herald.

The goal of program and plan are to remove barriers and conditions that prevent minority, low income, limited English proficiency, and other disadvantages groups and persons from receiving access, participation and/or benefits from CAT services which are funded in part from federal programs.

In addition to the Title VI Program update, general information regarding the services currently offered by CAT will be available at the meeting.

All attendees will be given an opportunity to comment during the public comment period. Documents will be available in both English and Spanish; and a Spanish interpreter will be available.

Transportation to and from the meeting will be available (within Canby). Call CAT at 503-266-4022 on or before 5 p.m. on Aug. 22 to request a ride.
