The works of Aurora painter Lyallyn Temple will be at the Canby Public Library through September

Aurora painter Lyallyn Temple is currently showing her work at the Canby Public Library. Temple has 12 paintings on display – watercolors and batik watercolors. She began her art career at the age of 59 and is now studying with esteemed artist Harold Walkup at the Oregon Society of Artists in Portland.

Temple gets her inspiration from nature; birds in flight, softness of clouds, and immensity of ruggedness found in mountains.

"Adding a wee bit of whimsy into my paintings pleases my sense of humor and lightens the load of the onslaught of ever present crises in our world," said Temple.

Her art will be on display through Sept. 30.
