County Commissioners are seeking three new Fair Board members to serve 3-year terms

If you enjoy the Clackamas County Fair year after year, you may be interested in this opportunity to have a say in how it plays out.

The Clackamas County Commissioners are seeking interested residents to serve on county Advisory Boards and Commissions, including the Fair Board, per a press release from Clackamas County.

The board has three openings. Each are 3-year terms.

Board responsibilities are as follows.

Members of the Fair Board serve as advisers to the Board of County Commissioners and act as the policy-making body of the Clackamas County Fairgrounds and Event Center.

The Board also manages the grounds and all other property owned, leased, used or controlled by the county and devoted to the use of the County Fair.

They also are entrusted and charged with the entire business management and financial responsibilities of the fairgrounds. This includes at times making facilities available for public and private events throughout the year.

Board meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month in Canby.
