The local artist currently has 16 colored pastels on display at the Canby Public Library

Linda Blue is a lifelong artist who retired as an occupational therapist from the Canby School District in 2007.

She is currently showing 16 colored pastels at the Canby Public Library through the end of the year. She fell in love with the intensity of colored pastels 15 years ago and it is now her medium of choice.

After retiring, Blue moved to a remote island in Fiji and wrote "Secrets of Health and Beauty from Fiji" which included 50 watercolor paintings of plants and landscapes from this remote region.

She loves traveling internationally for opportunities to paint and take reference photos in exotic locales.
