The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife recently completed fish stocking program in Canby

According to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Canby Pond has undergone a pair of stocking procedures in recent weeks.

The first occurred between Oct. 8-12 and involved 500 legal size fish and 100 trophy size fish. The ODFW was back between Oct. 15-19 with another stocking effort that included 500 legals and 100 trophy fish.

The one-acre Canby Pond is located at the south end of Canby in Canby City Park and is open only to youth 17 years old and under, as well as persons who possess ODFW's disabled hunting and fishing permits.

The pond offers rainbow trout, largemouth bass, crappie and bluegill.
