Canby Community Food

and Gift Basket Signup

Individuals and families who live within the boundaries of the Canby School District and who have not signed up for holiday assistance from another program, are eligible to receive a Christmas food basket and gifts for children through age 18 through the Canby Community Food and Toy Drive project organized by Canby Kiwanis.

The application forms are available at the Canby Public Library, the Canby Center, Canby Kiwanis Thrift Store, and Canby Adult Center.

They must be returned by Dec. 7.

Bagged and ready, last year's food and toy drive helped hundreds in the Canby community.

Food and Gift Donations Needed

The Canby Kiwanis Club is asking for community support of the annual Kiwanis Community Food and Toy Drive, which last year provided Christmas baskets to 385 Canby area families, including more than 950 children.

All donations stay locally.

"Since the Canby community has been so generous in the past, we have not needed to take toys from already spread-thin programs like Toy and Joy or the KGW Big Toy Drive," explained Sharon Schneider, one of the event coordinators.
