May special election will have three school board openings to fill for four-year terms

North Marion School District announced that three of its school board's seven seats will be up for election or re-election on the May 21 ballot.

Those positions are currently held by Ricardo Verastegui, Scott Mills and Crystal Rostocil.

Those elected to the seats will serve four years, with the terms beginning July 1 and running through June 30, 2024. Board members attend twice-monthly meetings along with workshops, training sessions, budgeting and school district strategic planning sessions.

The deadline to file with the Marion County Clerk's Office is 5 p.m. Thursday, March 21. The deadline to submit a candidate's statement for the voter's pamphlet is 5 p.m. Monday, March 25.
