It's summer, the kids are out of school and before they could tell their moms, "I'm bored," Katie Walton and Brianna Sharp suggested the kids try a lemonade stand at Wait Park.
So, three young ladies parked themselves on a corner and within a couple of hours they'd made more than $30.
While having a great time selling their lemonade and chocolate cookies, Emma and Carlee Walton, along with Audrianna Sharp, also took a bit of time to run and play on the playground equipment, especially Emma who will be entering kindergarten in the fall. She climbed up the big slide on the front, turned around and slid down. The two older girls are classmates at Philander Lee Elementary and will be entering the second grade.
Audrianna hopes to use her part of the sales for her summer vacation. She's the veteran at lemonade stands, having done one before. All three were having fun and took time out to say what they hoped to be when they grew up. Emma wants to be a nurse while her sister Carlee loves animals and wants to be a veterinarian. Audrianna hopes to be a nurse too.
