The songs and stories of the American west will be courtesy of Kerry Grombacher on Saturday afternoon

Music in the Stacks returnst to the Canby Public Library on Saturday, Sept.7, at 2:30 p.m. with songs and stories of the American West with singer and songwriter Kerry Grombacher.

Grombacher's concert program reflects his interest in, and love of, the history and culture of the United States.

He has worked as a field archaeologist and as a professional historian, cowboyed some, fought forest fires, and spent an inordinate amount of time behind the wheel, looking at the vast American landscape.

Kerry says, "I ask myself, 'What do I see, what do I know, and what do I imagine?' and then I write songs and stories about the history, the blended cultures, and the modern traditions of the west and all the things that fascinate me".

Music in the Stacks is funded by Friends of the Library.
