The Canby Public Library will have a busy October with plenty of programs and classes on tap. Here's a look at a few things coming this month.
> Music in the Stacks continues on Oct. 5 at 2:30 p.m. with a presentation by Neftali Rivera and Trio Borikuas. This group will capture the essence of Puerto Rican, Cuban, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms.
Bright and charismatic performers bring their passion for their heritage, music, and culture to this library performance.
Conveying a rich poetic lineage in their songs and beats, they move fluidly between love, loss, and joy – covering an impressive repertoire that includes genres from a variety of Latin American cultures.
> Computer classes for beginners will be held on Oct. 1 and 8 at 1 p.m.
These classes will teach internet basics and online safety, internet searching and online library basics, plus an introduction to social media and genealogy.
