Once again, local businesses and other entities will be downtown on Halloween to help those trick-or-treaters

Canby's downtown area will be open for trick-or-treating on Oct. 31 from 3 to 6 p.m. as the annual event has downtown businesses throwing open their doors on Halloween.

There's also the scarecrow contest that's going on in the downtown, which needs locals to cast their votes on the Hot Rod Dreamworks website or on their Facebook page. Deadline is Nov. 1.
