This week, we talk about Harefest's big move, the forthcoming splash pad, Renaissance Faire and more

This week's episode of the Canby Vibe podcast featured plenty of interesting discussion on some interesting things coming to Canby this year.

Editor John Baker, reporter Carol Rosen, assistant editor Kristen Wohlers, and sports editor Derek Wiley talked about numerous things that were on the horizon, kicking it off with a look at Harefest's move to the Clackamas County Event Center fairgrounds this summer.

The crew talked about the benefits of the move and the very real potential for growth of Harefest as it enters its 10th year.

Also on tap for discussion was the movement of the city's splash pad, which recently took a move forward with the decision on the basic design and content of the pad. The hope is still to have it up and functional by Memorial Day this year.

Also on this week's slate of topics was the Oregon Renaissance Faire, which will add a very cool element to its first weekend this year – cosplay. Not limited to comic cons anymore, cosplay has become a very real and viable event activity that is enjoyed by tens of thousands. This year's ren faire will look to feed into that appeal with A RenCon Cosplay Adventure. Staff talked about what it might mean and had fun at John's expense given his immense love for comic cons and cosplay.
