Though closed until April 1, the library will have Randall Jenkins' work on display to the end of the month

Canby resident Randall Jenkins is showing 15 of his acrylic paintings, and one very unique woodblock design, at the Canby Public Library.

Jenkins has always liked to draw but didn't begin painting until after his retirement in 2009.

"I was fortunate to have been introduced to a group of people who enjoyed painting as a social activity. Most of them used acrylic paints, a few used oils. I began with acrylic and stayed with it", said Jenkins.

For many years, he attended weekly get-togethers in Charbonneau under the tutelage of painters Bill and Ina Marlieb. The results of more than 10 years of coaching and experimenting can be seen at the Canby Public Library through the end of April.
