Drazan runs unopposed in Republican primary for HD 39
Rep. Christine Drazan will move forward to the general election in the race for House District 39.
During the Tuesday, May 19, primary election, Drazan was running unopposed on the Republican ballot for reelection to the seat she's held since 2018.
Initial results from the election showed that Drazan, R-Canby, received 5,632 votes, or 99.09%.
There were 52 write-in votes, or .91%.
Along with serving as the House Minority Leader, Drazan is the vice chair of the House Interim Committee on Rules and a member of the Joint Committee on Legislative Administration, Joint Committee on Legislative Counsel, Joint Interim Committee on Ways and Means, the Joint Emergency Board and the House Interim Committee on Health Care.
House District 39 includes Estacada, Eagle Creek, Barton, Beavercreek, Boring, Canby, Carus, Charbonneau, Fishers Mill, Mulino, Redland, rural areas of Oregon City and portions of Damascus and Happy Valley.
