Spangler fire under control
A fire near Spangler Road and Highway 213 that erupted around 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, is now under control.
Crews were putting out hot spots in the Carus area early Wednesday after controlling the blaze that burned approximately 10 acres of brush and consumed two homes, according to Clackamas Fire.
No injuries were reported, per Clackamas Fire, and at least some who were evacuated have returned home.
The fire started when an RV pulling a Jeep southbound on Highway 213 began emitting sparks and then caught fire, according to Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. The RV pulled over, starting a brush fire.
Deputies from the sheriff's office, Molalla Police, Canby Police, Oregon City Police, Happy Valley Police and Wilsonville Police went door to door to ensure residents south of Highway 211 from Colton to Molalla at Highway 213 were notified Tuesday night.
