Those in need in the Willamette Valley may make request for bales donated to NWREC in Aurora.

The hay has been arriving at the North Willamette Research Extension Center in Aurora and those that need it are encouraged to arrange a pickup

The Oregon State Extension Service tabbed the Aurora facility as a donation and distribution site for the entire Willamette Valley. Farmers and ranchers who lost hay or pasture land and are in need of something to fill the void can get it at the NWREC.

"About 50 tons of alfalfa/mixed grain hay arrived from Klamath Falls," said Director Mike Bondi. "This is a new shipment and not part of last week's plan. Everything is pretty fluid right now. This shipment is the large 8-foot rectangular bales. Another 10 tons or so of three-string bales are due this week, too.
