Clackamas County Commissioners are looking for two county residents to join the panel moving forward

Clackamas County Commissioners are seeking interested residents to serve on the Clackamas County Fair Board.

The Fair Board has two openings, each of which carries a three-year term. Members serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners while acting as the policy-making body of the Clackamas County fairgrounds and event center.

The County Fair Board has the exclusive management of the grounds and all other property owned, leased, used or controlled by the county and devoted to the use of the county fair.

The board is entrusted and charged with the entire business management and financial responsibilities of the Clackamas County fairgrounds and the event center. In order that the fairgrounds and buildings are utilized to the fullest extent, the board at all times has the authority to provide facilities for public and private events throughout the year.

The county Fair Board meets the second Thursday of each month.

Individuals interested in this opportunity can apply online at or via paper form, which can be obtained from the Public & Government Affairs Department at the Public Services Building, 2051 Kaen Road in Oregon City, or at the Clackamas County Event Center office, 694 N.E. Fourth Ave. in Canby.

The deadline to apply is Nov.5, 2020.

For more information, contact the Clackamas County Fairgrounds and Event Center Office at 503-266-1136.
