The surge in Covid-19 cases and changing county protocols left too much uncertainty, causing event's cancellation

Put away your kilts, your flagons and your hopes for an Oregon Renaissance Faire in Canby this year. Organizers announced May 1 that it will be cancelling this year's event at the Clackamas County Event Center.

With the upturn in Covid-19 infections throughout the county, and the uncertainty of where it all may lead by early June, the organizers decided that it was better to pull the plug now than deal with the uncertainty for the next month-plus.

The annual event, which was cancelled, rescheduled and ultimately cancelled again last year, was set to run over two weekends in June – June 5-6 and 12-13 at the fairgrounds.
