City announces new hours for the Civic Center, the last public factility to fully open to the public

The city of Canby resumed Monday through Friday operations at the Civic Center – 222 NE 2nd Avenue – to the public on Monday, July 19. The Civic Center had been opened on a modified schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Canby Civic Center is now be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or by appointment by calling 503-266-4021 from 8 to 9 a.m. or from 4 to 5 p.m.

The Canby Civic Center houses administration, finance, economic development, planning, and the municipal court. The reopening marks the last of the public facilities to fully reopen to the public.

Hours of operation for all City facilities are listed below. Appointments are encouraged to ensure city staff availability and lessen wait times.

City Hall/Civic Center (ph. 503-266-4021): Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or by appointment from 8 to 9 a.m. or from 4 to 5 p.m.

Police Department (ph. 503-266-1104): Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

CAT/Transit Offices (ph. 503-266-4022): Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Public Works Office (ph. 503-266-7238): Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Canby Public Library (ph. 503-266-3394): Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.. Closed Sundays.

Swim Center/Pool (ph. 503-266-2761): Public swims are open Monday through Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. or on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Register for swimming lessons in August by July 28 at 10 a.m. Water Exercise, lap swim, and adult swims are also available.
