The Nov. 19 accident occurred along South Mulino Road near Blundell Road sometime before 7:30 a.m.

A Friday morning two-car collision along South Mulino Road left one teen dead and three others injured.

According to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 19, deputies responded to a fatal two-vehicle accident near South Blundell Road in unincorporated Clackamas County, near Canby.

Deputies arrived to find two vehicles heavily damaged. Canby Fire District had also arrived at the crash scene.

A witness to the accident told deputies that a black SUV was attempting to pass a vehicle on Mulino Road when it collided with a red sedan approaching in the oncoming lane.

The driver of the black SUV, age 17, was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

The red sedan had three occupants, ages 10 to 16. The 16-year-old was declared dead at the scene, while the two passengers, ages 10 and 12, were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

The Clackamas County Medical Examiner's Office and the Criminal Reconstruction and Forensic Technicians (CRAFT) team also responded to document the scene, conduct witness interviews and collect and process evidence. Clackamas Road Department and Canby Police assisted with traffic control. This incident is still under investigation.

Later Friday, Canby High Principal Greg Dinse released an email to Canby High School parents and students, stating that "Our high school administrators and counselors from schools across the district gathered at the high school to support any students and staff throughout the day who needed assistance."
